Role Overview

We are seeking a carbon markets consultant with strong exposure to Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) projects to support our project developer clients in designing and commercialising high‑integrity carbon credit programs. The role focuses on structuring CDR and other mitigation projects for the VCM, CORSIA, and Article 6.2 markets, and executing carbon credit transactions with a range of buyers.

Key Responsibilities

Structure carbon credit programs for CDR and mitigation projects (e.g., engineered removals, biochar, methane abatement, waste to energy) from feasibility to issuance and sale
Apply leading CDR and carbon credit methodologies and standards (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard, GCC, Isometric and others), including baseline, additionality, durability, and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV)
Analyse opportunities and risks across VCM, CORSIA, and Article 6.2 (ITMOs, corresponding adjustments) for CDR and reduction projects
Identify and engage prospective buyers (corporates, platforms, funds) and support end‑to‑end buyer acquisition and deal execution
Support transaction structuring (e.g., offtakes, forwards, portfolio structures) and pricing for CDR and high‑quality mitigation credits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Degree in environmental science, engineering, economics, finance, sustainability, or related field; advanced degrees or CDR/carbon markets certifications are a plus
Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to work with project developers, buyers, and technical partners in a fast‑growing climate/clean‑tech environment

Preferred Skills

3–6 years of experience in carbon markets, with at least part of this in CDR or carbon project development/origination
Demonstrated experience with carbon project cycle and documentation (PDDs, monitoring reports, issuance processes) and exposure to CDR‑relevant methodologies)
Strong understanding of VCM standards, CORSIA‑eligible units, and Article 6.2 concepts for removals and reductions
Ability to conduct financial and risk analysis for carbon credit transactions, including basic cash‑flow and pricing models
